Founder and funding
The Young Academy of Sweden was founded on the 27th of May 2011 at the initiative of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences
, and is funded by The Government Offices of Sweden, the Erling-Persson Family Foundation, the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation, the Ragnar Söderberg Foundation and Riksbankens Jubileumsfond – The Swedish Foundation for Humanities and Social Sciences.
