On 21 February an address was given by the Governor General of Canada, H.E. David Johnston in the presence of H.M. King Carl XVI Gustaf, the patron of The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. The Young Academy of Sweden's Chair, Camilla Svensson, participated in the subsequent panel discussion.
The panel discussion explored how Canadian and Swedish scientists and innovators can seize opportunities for collaboration. Working together, as advocates for science and reason, allows the academic research community to contribute to building innovative, inclusive, compassionate and prosperous societies.
